Parent-Teacher Mtgs, Student Reporting, and Ongoing Communication

Parents will receive a “Learning Update” in December and in March and a final “Summary of Learning” in June (see the Calendar for exact dates).

There are also two pre-scheduled in-person meeting dates for parents – Parent-Teacher Meetings in October and Student-Led Conferences in late April or early May (again, see the Calendar for the exact dates).

As ongoing communication can be helpful to support a child’s success, in addition to the above, parents are encouraged to reach out to their child’s teachers if they have any questions or concerns, and teachers sometimes reach out to parents likewise.  While email can be an efficient means to communicate straightforward information (activities, dates, times, etc.), it is rarely a constructive means to resolve concerns that may arise; rather, parents and teachers are encouraged to connect by phone or via arranging an in-person meeting aimed at discussing and navigating concerns together.
